Speakercones also move and I believe that the amount of throw is directly related to improvements associated with speaker break in. Woofers throw a lot. Tweeters don't throw much. I think that the break in period for tweeters is made up of a couple things: 1.
Speakerswith multiple drivers do a much better job of reproducing the whole frequency spectrum. These types of speakers split the frequency range between two drivers at a minimum — a high-frequency driver and a low-frequency driver. By giving each driver a specific frequency to cover, you increase the speaker's output, frequency range, and Ifyour car audio system uses coaxial speakers, you probably don't need an additional crossover. Full-range speakers already have built-in passive crossovers that filter the frequencies that reach each driver. Even if you add an amplifier into the mix, the built-in speaker crossovers should be more than sufficient. Atweeter speaker is a type of electromechanical loudspeaker that produces sound and music in the upper (higher frequency) musical range. Compensates for woofers and other speakers that do not produce treble, such as those used in two-way bookshelf speaker pair designs. Tweeters are small because they produce smaller sound waves and have
Ona speaker that does not have capabilities for bi-wiring, one set of connections would attach to the crossover. The job of the crossover is to send the lower tones to the bass driver and the midrange, and upper tones to the midrange and treble speakers. A crossover works by filtering out the tones that should not go to the speaker its section
Theonly problem with silk tweeters (aside from their price) is that the silk can loosen up over time and lose quality. Still, they'll last a lot longer than paper tweeters! Impedance. Ensure the Ohm rating on your tweeters matches your woofer so that the high ranges match the low ranges. If you have a 40 Ohm woofer, get 40 Ohm tweeters
Inone YouTube on KEF tweeter repair, the tweeter lead insulation was red and gold, not the standard red and black. Since the OP also would have access to the mid/woofer leads, do the same and wire up the speakers so they all push OUT (or IN) when the + multimeter/battery is applied +voltage to the determined "positive" leads.

Ijust pulled an old pioneer speaker out of and old 3-way cabinet. It actually had 1 12"-sub, 2 6"-mid/full range speakers, and 1 tweeter. The cabinet is like 80 Lbs. I haven't looked at what the total wattage for the whole speaker cabinet is, but I do know somebody switched the subs out for some newer ones. Those subs say 400 watts @ 4 ohms. snrw4.
